Thursday Doors: Along the Canals in Venice

The following photos are my contribution to Thursday Doors, a door-lovers group hosted by Norm Frampton.

I will never forget experiencing Venice for the first time. It feels like you are transported to another time – the art, music, food, and pure romance in the air is like no other place. – Elizabeth Berkley

As I mentioned in a previous post, Venice has been on my bucket list of places to see for a long time.  Sometimes, the places on our bucket list can prove to be disappointing.  That was not the case for me with Venice.  I found it enchanting, intriguing, and romantic. Especially, along the canals.

Several times, we crossed The Grand Canal by way of the famous Rialto Bridge and enjoyed the spectacular views.

There are one hundred and fifty canals running through Venice.  Here’s a few photos of doors my family and I captured along a few of them. I hope you enjoy!

Next week, more doors are coming your way from the narrow alleyways of Venice. Thank you for stopping by.  Stay safe, stay well!

  8. Such beautiful photos and the colours are amazing. My daughter’s art class was supposed to go there in the autumn but with the current situation the trip is off. Hopefully, they’ll get there next year.
