Thursday Doors: The Alleyways of Venice

The following photos are my contribution to Thursday Doors, a door-lovers group hosted by Norm Frampton.

Venice never quite seems real, but rather an ornate film set suspended on the water. – Frida Giannini

This week’s door post is a continuation from a family trip to Venice, Italy in January 2020.

Walking through the maze-like narrow alleyways of Venice, with doors at the end and along the way, was a lot of fun.  It felt like quite the adventure.

This alleyway led to the grand Basilica di Santa Maria Della Salute.

With this interesting door along the way.

Thank you for stopping by!  Photos featuring the Basilica di Santa Maria Della Salute in Venice are on their way next week.

These are wonderful. I love the ones where the door is at the end of a long alleyway. Some great shots in this collection!
