Thursday Doors: Venice, Italy Finale Photos

The following photos are my contribution to Thursday Doors, a door-lovers group hosted by Norm Frampton.

Today’s door post is the last one (at least for now) of my family’s incredible trip to Venice, Italy back in January 2020.  During this time of lockdown, I have enjoyed immensely reliving this time of travel.

Gorgeous photos, Brenda. You must be very happy to have gone in January. I think it’s a better trip than most people will have. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    1. Thanks so much, Dan!! We were planning on traveling more around Europe until covid, but are very thankful to get a few trips in before.

Wonderful selection of shots again this week. you’ve convinced me to move Venice up on my list of places to visit if I do ever make it back to Italy.
I really enjoyed this series 🙂

    1. I hope you get to as well. Italy is well worth the visit. The sights are amazing of course, but the people are also good-natured and warm (they easily slip into English when they realize you don’t speak Italian), and the food is incredible too. 🙂 Have a nice day, Ann!

The doors you show here are all treasures, Brenda, but for me the bluish one takes the crown!Linked yesterday but didn’t make my rounds, because last week Friday we put our house up for sale, and Wednesday we got an offer, so now we are officially in escrow – I stepped up in packing (my clothes will take days, no kidding) since. Just read that the UK offers visas for people in Hong Kong who do not want to stay under the new laws which they will implement in a month (in case you know anyone, please pass it on). Thanks so much for visiting me!
I might just maintain only my meme All Seasons for a month, to get moved. I will keep up my emails.

    1. Congratulations on selling your house, and I can imagine there’s a lot involved for the move. Thank you for mentioning the UK visas. I know several people who are in the process of renewing their British National Overseas passports for this very purpose. They are preparing! Take care of yourself during the craziness of packing and moving.!

Thank you Brenda! Since the travelban is on for Europe (unless we go to Ireland and in quarantine for 2 weeks), we keep an eye open if that changes when escrow closes. If not, than it’s to another state. Too bad, it’s not France or Italy, or even Holland. Never had thought a virus would decide where I live!:(
The hardest part I have done: packing my clothes and shoes (took me 6 days, lol), Next is if I need to downsize on my paintings.

      2. I hope you don’t need to downsize your paintings!

    1. I do hope you get the opportunity one day. It is well worth the trip! =)

  6. I love that shot of the canal. Venice certainly has some beautiful, decorative doors.

    1. It certainly does! I’m so glad you enjoyed the photo of the canal. =)
