Thursday Doors: Blue Doors in Collioure

The following photos are my contribution to Thursday Doors, a door-lovers group hosted by Norm Frampton.

~~

This time last year, my daughter came to visit us in France.  It was wonderful!  During her stay, my husband, son, and daughter took a day trip to Collioure, a charming town along the Vermillion Coast located less than an hour south from where we live.  I was unfortunately not able to go.

But, for the next couple of weeks, I’ll be featuring the fascinating doors my daughter, who is the true photographer in our family, discovered in Collioure.  I hope you enjoy!

Bravo Sarah! The featured image that has the matching blue letter box is suitable for framing – it is a truly exceptional shot.

    1. Well, now, that’s a great idea. I really think I’ll get that printed and frame it. Thank you for your kind comment, Norm! I sent it on to Sarah in case she didn’t see it here. 🙂

  6. Oh, those glorious Provencal doors and colors! I loved to see them when my s-i-l and b-i-l lived near Avignon. Loved the markets, too!!

It is! We went on a Rhone river cruise about ten years ago, and that was one of our stops. I could have spent days there….

Don’t know what happened this weekend , probably part of my settling-derangement!” -but I’m happy you gave a link, so I could enjoy it this (next) weekend. Blue and yellow is a favorite color combi for me, but I have noticed, not many American artist follow this one:) Goes to show you, even choice of color is “cultural.”:)
