Thursday Doors: Mushroom Street, Alicante, Spain

On one afternoon stroll through Old Town Alicante, my husband and I came across a fascinating pedestrian street.  All along the tiled walkway were tall statues of mushrooms with faces and smaller statues of brightly colored insects.

I found this cool door along the way.  It’s not the greatest shot, but here it is anyway.

This door is my contribution to Thursday Doors, a weekly door-lover’s group hosted by Dan Antion over at No Facilities. Take a look for more doors from all around the globe at No Facilities.

If you’d like to see my three-previous posts featuring Alicante, check out Alicante, Spain, St. Nicolas Cathedral, or Casco Antiguo-Santa Cruz.

Thank you for stopping by.  Stay safe, stay well all!

How fun! I wonder who thought of doing a street in mushrooms?

    1. It is a fun street to walk along. I should have said, but the artist who designed the street (in 2013) is Sergio Martinez. 🙂

What a crazy street! Is it a business street, or a residential/business one? I love the restaurant named Jimmy Churri. 😀
