This post is my contribution to Thursday Doors, a weekly door-lover’s group hosted by Dan Antion over at No Facilities.
~~
Most days, during our week long stay in Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife (the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands located west of north Africa), we walked through the beautiful Parque de la Sortija.

Located in the middle of the park is the All Saints Anglican Church, and it’s my feature for this week’s Thursday Doors.

The church was built in the late 19th century. Construction began in 1890. The project was funded and led by British expats who were living there at the time. Built in stone, the church has three naves and a striking neo-gothic façade. Unfortunately, I was not able to go inside for a look around, but I enjoyed circling by on my walks.
I hope you enjoyed a little bit more of Puerto de la Cruz. If you would like to see my first post featuring Puerto de la Cruz, visit here, and if you would like to see my second, visit here. Thank you for stopping by!

The flowers are a welcome bit of lovely color. The church is magnificent. Can you imagine the work involved in assembling that building, stone-by-stone. It’s amazing.

It’s true. I’m sure a lot of hard work went into building the church. Here’s a little bit extra information on it that I found today if you are interested. (https://allsaintstenerife.org/post-one/) Color does make me happy! 🙂 Thanks for your nice comments as always, Dan!
