Here is my contribution to Thursday Doors, a weekly door-lover’s group hosted by Dan Antion over at No Facilities.
~~
Though my husband and I recently moved from Seville, Spain to Tenerife, Spain, I thought I would spend the next several weeks featuring doors that I discovered while romping around Seville but didn’t post on Thursday Doors. I look forward to digging through my archives from the last year and a half and sharing these doors with you.
For this week, I’m featuring the Virgen de los Reyes square, created in the 18th century and located behind the magnificent Seville Cathedral.

In the middle of this square is the Fuente (Fountain) Farola with a perfect view of La Giralda, the bell tower of the Cathedral. The fountain and street lamps were added for the World’s Fair 1929 Spanish-American exhibition.

Around the square are colorful buildings that are World Heritage sites. The building above is the Palacio Arzobispal (the Archbishop’s Palace).

Next to the Palace is this beautiful yellow corner building. I believe, now, it serves as a bank.

Then past the yellow building is Mateos Gago Street, on the other end of the square from the bell tower, with many restaurants and al fresco dining along with quaint shops.

For more doors from all around the globe, visit Dan at No Facilities.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Wonderful photos. The doors and ornate archways are fabulous! Love the yellow building. I am generally attracted to those triangular buildings.

Thanks, Suzette, for your kind comments. Colorful building are wonderful as well as corner buildings, so to have both in one building is so nice. 🙂

We were in Seville this past April and I recognize many of the locations in your pictures. Someday, I’ve love to return and see everything we missed.
