This is my contribution to the weekly Thursday Doors challenge hosted by Dan Antion over at No Facilities blog.

Another post this week from a cold December visit to incredible Milan, Italy. Last week, I featured the magnificent Milan Cathedral (Duomo of Milan). This week, I’ll be featuring the area surrounding the Duomo, the Piazza del Duomo.

Beside the Duomo (as pictured in the photo above) is a famous pedestrian passageway of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele with lots of restaurants and up-scale stores. The structure was built in the 20th century and dedicated to the first king of Italy: Vittorio Emanuele II.

Here’s a view after sunset …

And open doorways nearby …

Thank you for stopping by! More to come from Milan next week.

The Galleria is world famous, but I’d much prefer to see the Duomo.

Wow! Brenda – these are fabulous photos. I love that view of the pedestrian passageway. I think I’d be bumping into people all over the place with my head pointing up all the time..

That is me, with my eyes in the air! My husband is always watching out so I don’t trip or bump into anyone. 🙂 I’m very glad you enjoyed the photos, Dan.

Milano is quite fashionable. 🙂 With the cold and snow, everyone was snuggled in their heavy coats so I didn’t have to worry about that since I travel in jeans or sweats. haha. Thanks, Jan, for stopping by!
