This is my contribution to the weekly Thursday Doors challenge, hosted by Dan Antion over at No Facilities blog.

For a second week, I am featuring the rustic town of Céret in southern France, filled with wonderful history and charm. The town is well known for being an artist enclave, and many famous artists have spent time there. It is also known as France’s cherry capital. In May each year, Céret hosts a famous cherry festival. As we are staying thirty minutes from Céret, we will certainly be attending.
I hope you enjoy a little more of this charming town.

These are great doors, Brenda. I love the colors and the shapes. IT’s all so interesting. I also really like the balconies.

I’m very happy you enjoyed the tour. The balconies are indeed really eye-catching. It is quite the thing here to sit out on the balcony in the evenings even in winter. Thanks, Dan! 😊

Europeans do take their doors seriously, and they do like color! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by.

Excellenttt share Brenda. Thank you for sharing the photos from this charming city. I love the wrought iron I see in the photos. Great photos. I love the blue door framed by the lovely plants. (When I think of France it is that blue door and its atmophere/vibe, which you captured beautifully, that I imagine.)

Thanks so much, Suzette. It is very true. I’ve seen more blue doors here, and in Spain, than anywhere. It’s true, they do like the cool vibe. 🙂
